Inscription on a processional cross in Tsaishi: "Life-giving Cross, glorify the King of the Abkhazians, Kouropalates Bagrat." Dated to the 11th century, possibly referring to Bagrat III or Bagrat IV, both of whom held the title of Kouropalates.
On a processional cross in Tsaishi there is an inscription: "Life-giving Cross, glorify the King of the Abkhazians, Kouropalates Bagrat."

N. Kondakov asserts that the character of the script dates the inscription to the 11th century. Brosset suggests that it refers to Bagrat III. But it is difficult to say which Bagrat, among the Abkhazian kings Bagrat III (977–1015) or Bagrat IV (1027–1072), is mentioned here, since both of them held the title of Kouropalates.
