- Abii
Abii — a Scythian nomadic people, according to Ptolemy, in Scythia extra Imaum; mentioned already by Homer (Il. 13, 6), who calls them together with the Galactophagi and Hippemolgi the most righteous of men.
They sent envoys to Alexander. In antiquity, some writers used this epithet as an ethnic designation for nomadic Scythians.
Most researchers locate the Abii in the Rengai region (Syr Darya basin) and identify them with the Apasiacae.
